Caregiving and Guardianship

I think I view caregiving through a lens of advocacy. I am noticing within myself I have neglected how hard that labor actually is. I have clearly not considered the lived experience of caregivers in their own words. 

I have sat in that for a while and I have decided to share my situated experiences with caregiving so that I have laid bare on the table my soul to you and I may approach you earnestly. Every time I have witnessed this it was the person's livelihood. Their income. It chosen on values. Their work was fueled by the relationships. I hope that the care I provide looks like this from the outside one day. 

Some people need help becoming caregivers, I am your man, at least part of the way. 

I did not comment on guardianship or the bad sides of both. Those come to my mind too, but I think I have said enough. I have an idea of who will show up at my door based on who read this to the end.
