"Anger management" is a term usually thrown around by legal systems, employers, or schools to demand quiet compliance. Mainstream clinical approaches often frame anger as a behavioral defect to be suppressed or managed with simple breathing exercises; completely ignoring why the rage exists in the first place.
I do not view anger as a character flaw or an illness to be erased. Anger is vital data. It is a protective signal telling you that a boundary has been crossed, a right has been violated, or systemic pressure has reached a breaking point. When you are forced to navigate coercive environments, unyielding relationships, or chronic unfairness, feeling enraged is a completely logical human response.
This work frequently intersects with navigating Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use & Addiction, processing unresolved Trauma, and handling friction within Relationship and Family Services.
In our sessions, I do not run through compliance scripts to train you to sit quietly through unfair situations. We respect what your anger is trying to protect, audit the actual pressures acting on your life, and help you direct that energy in ways that preserve your agency without burning down what you care about.
This links strongly to Anxiety, Depression, Dependency and Addiction, Life Transitions & Stages of Life, and Relationship & Family Services as well as Probation Involvement.
