I spent my life entangled with women. Women have been all around me, shaping my life, bringing vibrant stories that go way beyond whatever theory they teach in a classroom.
Sex work is not sexual violence, even though it can contain that. Sex work is queer as fuck, trans as fuck, and historical as fuck.
The queer body gets fetishized, but queer isn't just about color or neurodivergence. It is kink, it is fetish, it is the erotic as an embodied truth, and by God, it is a way to live.
Here in Idaho, there is no system to protect you. If a client refuses to pay, you have no legal recourse, and claiming your work is an immediate liability because the state makes your survival illegal. But it happens here every single day. It is a material reality.
I have to talk about sex work on this site for the exact same reason I talk about Indigenous studies, immigration, queerness, and disability. It isn't an abstract clinical topic to be analyzed or saved from. It is real life, and it is an experience children, the fetishized, and the disfigured have long endured.
