I grew up surrounded by women, entangled with women, shaped by their voices, their rage, and their survival. It was never an abstract concept or a textbook lesson, it was my baseline long before I had a degree attached to my name.
I worked at the Women's Center and did the work around gender equity and queerness. Not to put a badge on my chest or perform clinical saviorism, but because understanding women means understanding how power, control, and state enforcement operate on the human body.
I have sat on both sides of domestic violence and sexual violence. I have worked with survivors carrying somatic terror in their bones, and I have worked with the ones who inflicted the harm. I do not play moral gatekeeper or hide behind clinical distance. Violence is relational, power is relational, and human harm doesn't fit into neat, sanitized buckets.
To work with women, especially here in Idaho, means seeing the full, messy reality of their lives outside of neat diagnostic labels. It means holding space for the queer, the non-conforming, the angry, the exhausted, and the ones who survived things they were taught to stay quiet about.
I am not here to fix you or save you, I am here to stand in the room with you.
