Institutions are built to wear you down, confuse you with bureaucratic red tape, and deny access through exhaustion. Navigating healthcare systems, VA bureaucracies, school districts, disability boards, or legal structures on your own drains the exact energy you need just to survive.
As a social worker, advocacy is not an afterthought or an extra service. It is a core part of the work. I do not just sit back and talk about how frustrating systems are. I step into the arena alongside you to provide concrete, material backing. Case management from me is explictly tied to my clinical practices as social work is grounded entirely in advocacy and support within the social environment. Case management is social work, put concretely. Pure case management services are not within my personal interests and not a service I provide in my role standing alone.
Social work is grounded in social diagnosis. We look at how hostile environments and rigid institutional rules fail you, and we document your functional needs to force those systems to adapt. My role is to amplify your voice, protect your rights, and help you secure structural access without taking away your autonomy or making decisions for you.
I will back your choices every step of the way. I make every attempt to never speak over you. I am committed to never make arrangements behind your back or push you into institutional traps. You deserve to remain in complete control of your care and your life.
I am adept at paperwork and navigating systems you may have never had to interface with before. My mom was medical administrator and my father is a social worker. I grew up disabled and involved in the medical system. Advocacy was not just delivered to me it was taught to me as part of my upbringing. If there is a system you need help navigating I am there and have very likely been exposed to it or know where to reference to get that exposure (agency policy). I will get in those weeds.
