Probation Involvment

Involvement doesn't just mean the person experiencing probation. I think this page is about what reincarceration means to a family, what it means to the system who maintains it, and what care looks like here. I want you to know how long I sat here just crying. I am 23 and my family has been affected by this system since I was 6. It is not about the person or what the person did. It is about the toll on family. It is about the hope that one has been 'rehabilitated' and that they reenmesh with their community. There is no joining society again when you are branded for life, legally. The law exists whether we agree with it or not. We are held to it. I am not the law and I am not the person that holds a person to the law. I exist in my own system of mandates. My job is advocacy. You have to understand that I am a service and when you pay for me you are paying for me to advocate for you. This has been in my life since I was a child, courts are just a playground of code and compliance. I am not a lawyer and I do not offer legal advice. I am a professional who is trained to interface with legal code and courts.
